Back to back running with all the kit. Boxes are getting ticked, and no injuries.

Build up to the Salomon 4trails 8-11 July

Day 1 of the 2013 Salomon 4 Trails, Garmisch Partenkirchen to Ehrwald, Austria

As they say……

This is getting real…..

Four stages, countless summits and peaks and an amazing itinerary off the beaten paths on rocky tracks constitute one of the last true sporting challenge.
The Salomon 4 Trails is the baby brother of the GORE-TEX ® TRANSALPINE-RUN, half the challenge for mountain and trail runners, but it still has the reputation of a very high DNF rate, it is a highly professional and emotional event for all participants (This I know, I have unfinished business in these mountains).

The route leads us up and over 2600 meters high mountain passes and through beautiful valleys across the main Alpine ridge.

My 2015 race schedule……roughly

6371

It’s slightly past that time of year, again, but, I figured I’d give a quick overview of some of the races I’ve got on the calendar for the upcoming year. As is usually the case, the events I ultimately end up competing in will be a blend of races seen below, as well as last minute additions based primarily on my work/travel schedule (which, is in and of itself, last minute).

Right now, the focus is mostly on running, and will largely remain that way into May. I’m still cycling multiple times a month, but swimming is a bit more backseat right now. As I get closer to June, the cycling portion will grow larger.

Here’s how things are looking as of now:
